After two years of forced stop ITACA is excited to announce the presentation of the album “VORTEX” through an Italian-European tour that will take place on the following dates:

ITACA is a transatlantic collaboration between eminent Italian and Canadian musicians in the fields of avant jazz and improvised music. Their music is dynamic, rhythmic and rich in improvisational possibilities. This project was born after Fran\u00e7ois Houle visited Italy at the SILE Jazz Festival in 2016 at the invitation of its artistic director Alessandro Fedrigo. This first meeting led Fran\u00e7ois to support Alessandro and saxophonist Nicola Fazzini in their performance in Canada in 2017. In 2019, the quartet performed in Canada at festivals in Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver, and on the latter occasion recorded on CD VORTEX released by nusica.org in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
